       Prof. Dr. Riccardo Moratto 莫冉教授(别名韦佳德, 字远复),台湾师范大学文学院翻译学博士,现为上海外国语大学高级翻译学院教授。Moratto教授亦担任南京农业大学外国语学院荣誉客座教授、意大利威尼斯大学特聘专家、山东大学访问学者、广东外语外贸大学翻译学研究中心荣誉兼职研究员、中国翻译协会专家会员、澳门翻译协会荣誉会员、世界翻译教育联盟主席助理、杭州市公共外语标识规范化工作专家委员会顾问、欧洲翻译研究学会会员及欧洲汉学学会会员。Moratto教授是一名国际会议口译员及著名文学译者,不仅是台湾师范大学首位获得翻译博士学位之外籍人士,而且也是第一位在中国聘为翻译学正教授的意大利人。

       Moratto教授曾在湖南师范大学、辅仁大学、实践大学、台北艺术大学、台湾科技大学、台北商业大学等多所高校任教。他在翻译学、汉学、中国文学翻译等领域发表过数十篇研究成果,并撰写两本中文散文书、二十本以上译著、两本合编教科书(高等院校英语专业21世纪课程教材)。他有多篇文章收录于SpringerRoutledge 等国际著名学术出版社的论文专辑,并在各种专业杂志、会议论文集、编著和国际领先的索引期刊上发表过文章。Moratto教授曾担任多个翻译学、语言学、文化研究著名国际期刊评审专家、编委及审稿人,同时从事翻译实践、翻译教研工作十五年,并曾翻译诸多现当代著名作家的文学作品。他也在许多国内外著名大学当过客座或访问教授,且于2019任第八届海峡两岸口译大赛华中赛区湖南选拔赛中荣获特等奖学生之导师,并于2020担任中国视频译制大赛评审专家及中欧国际文学节主持人。Moratto教授通晓数国语言,其包括英语(母语)、意大利语(也是母语)、中文、法文、挪威语、西班牙文、泰文与印度尼西亚语。Moratto教授曾也担任台湾电视台的主持人及演说家。

       Moratto教授的代表专著包括《Introduzione alla Sinografia,Taiwan Sign Language Interpreting: Theoretical Aspects and Pragmatic Issues, 以及《Translation and Governance. State Translation Activities in the Chinese Yuan and Qing DynastiesMoratto教授也主编了许多由国际权威出版社出版的编著,如《Diverse Voices in Chinese Translation and Interpreting: Theory and Practice; The Routledge Companion to Yan Lianke; Ecocriticism and Chinese Literature: Imagined Landscapes and Real Lived Spaces; Global Insights into Public Service Interpreting: Theory, Practice and Training; Chinese Literature in the World: Dissemination and Translation Practices; Voci letterarie dal Levante: Dialoghi con autori cinesi in tempo di pandemia(-意对照版) 等代表作。

       Moratto教授的研究领域包括笔译与口译研究、手语传译、中国现当代文学、中国经典外译、华语文学之中外翻译等领域。他最近的研究主要集中于中国现当代文学与华语文学之中外翻译、中国经典外译、中国口译史、翻译与文化认同、手语传译、社区口译、媒体口译以及口译研究的跨学科性质。

                 Prof. Dr. Riccardo Moratto is Full Professor of Translation Studies, Chinese Translation and Interpreting at the Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation (GIIT), Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). Professor Moratto holds a Ph.D. in Translation and Interpreting Studies from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). Professor Moratto is also Honorary Guest Professor at the College of Foreign Studies, Nanjing Agricultural University, Cultore della Materia at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Visiting Scholar at Shandong University, Honorary Research Fellow at the Center for Translation Studies of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Expert Member of the Translators Association of China (TAC), Honorary Member of Associação de Tradutores de Macau, Assistant to the President of WITTA, Consultant of the Hangzhou Expert Committee on the Standardization of Chinese-English Public Signs, Full Member of the European Society for Translation Studies and the European Association of Chinese Studies. Prof. Moratto is a Chartered Linguist and Fellow Member of CIoL, an international conference interpreter and renowned literary translator. He is the first Westerner to have received a Ph.D. in translation studies in Taiwan and the first Italian appointed as Full Professor in Translation Studies in any Chinese university.

He has taught at numerous universities, including Hunan Normal University, Fu Jen Catholic University, Shih Chien University, Taipei National University of the Arts, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and National Taipei University of Business. Professor Moratto has published extensively in the fields of translation studies, Chinese studies and Chinese literary translation, and is the author of two Chinese sanwen books, over twenty published translations, and two co-edited textbooks (21st-century curriculum textbooks for English majors in higher education). A number of Professor Moratto’s articles have also been included in peer-reviewed edited volumes published by internationally renowned academic publishers such as Routledge and Springer; a keen researcher, he has also published in various professional journals, conference proceedings and leading international indexed journals. Professor Moratto has served as a reviewer and editorial board member for several prestigious international journals in translation, linguistics, and cultural studies. At the same time, he has also been engaged in translation practice, translation teaching and research for over fifteen years, and has translated the literary works of many famous modern and contemporary writers. Professor Moratto has been a visiting or guest professor at many prestigious universities in China and abroad, and has been a mentor for students who won the Grand Prize in the 8th Cross-Strait Interpreting Competition in Hunan Province in 2019, a judge for the China Audiovisual Translation Competition and a host for the China-Europe International Literary Festival in 2020. Professor Moratto is a native bilingual speaker and a polyglot. He speaks several languages, including English (native), Italian (native), Chinese, French, Norwegian, Spanish, Thai and Indonesian. Professor Moratto has also worked as a TV host for Taiwanese television.

Professor Moratto’s representative monographs include Introduzione alla Sinografia,Taiwan Sign Language Interpreting: Theoretical Aspects and Pragmatic Issues,and Translation and Governance. His recent research focuses on contemporary Chinese literature, translation of Sinophone literature, translation of Chinese classics, history of Chinese interpreting, translation and cultural identities, sign language interpreting, community interpreting, media interpreting, and the interdisciplinary nature of interpreting studies.
